2025 PAVC Hosted Tournaments
2025 Winter Freeze
This year, The Winter Freeze will host 13U/14U & 15/16U age divisions at the Talbert Rec Center in Mooresville. All clubs are welcome to participate in our first annual Winter Freeze Touranment.
January 25 & 26, 2025
Team Entry Fee: $400

Coaches Check In:
This will be a JVA sanctioned event. Please have all information verified and rosters loaded no later than 12pm on January 24. We will print verified AES rosters at that time and have them available at check in. Otherwise - you will need to bring a printed roster with you.
Check in is Friday, February 24 from 6-9pm at Precision Athletics Sports Complex (118 Cedar Pointe Dr. Mooresville, NC) or between 7:00AM through 2:00PM on Saturday at the Talbert Rec Center. Coaches will check in teams by completing JVA Release form and signing verified rosters.
Spectators:
Spectator Fees will be $20 for 2 day admission and $12 for 1 day admission (CASH ONLY). No entries will be allowed for anyone without a wristband. Children 12 and under are FREE.
Housing: This is NOT a stay to play tournament. Housing accommodations will be added.
Food: No Outside food or food tables permitted inside.
Seating: Chairs are permitted, but bleachers will be provided for seating.
Refund Policy
Teams not accepted into the Take the Lake Tournament will receive a full refund.
Once Accepted - 100% refund until January 5th.
50% refund until January 14th.
After January 15th, no refunds will be given
Take the Lake 2025

Coaches Check In:
This will be a JVA sanctioned event. Please have all information verified and rosters loaded no later than 12pm on May 17. We will print verified AES rosters at that time and have them available at check in. Otherwise - you will need to bring a printed roster with you.
Coaches/Directors may check their teams in at their designated play location prior to their first game. Coaches will check in teams by completing JVA Release form and signing verified rosters. We will no longer offer check-in the night prior to the tournament. There will be no coaches meeting prior to the first match.
Spectators:
There is no limit to spectators per team. Spectator Fees will be $20 for 2 day admission and $12 for 1 day admission (CASH ONLY). No entries will be allowed for anyone without a wristband. Children 12 and under are FREE.
Play Locations & Parking: We have added the PAVC gym as a 2nd location for this tournament. The two locations are within .5 miles of each other and can easily be driven or you can walk if you wish.

There is limited parking in the actual parking lots of both gyms. Parking in other businesses will result in being towed - so PLEASE park on the road. This is a public area, and open to parking.
Housing: This is NOT a stay to play tournament. CLICK HERE for accommodations.
Food: If playing at Talbert Rec Center, food is permitted but PLEASE ensure you pick up after yourselves. If playing at PASC there is a STRICT NO FOOD/BEVERAGE (Water is fine) policy in the facility and especially on the sport court. Spectators AND players will be asked to leave if this is not strictly obeyed. Do us a favor and ensure your teams know this prior to arrival at this facility.
Seating: At Talbert Rec Center, chairs are permitted but bleachers will be provided for seating. The space for chairs is limited. At Precision Athletics Sports Complex, there is no seating provided so please plan accordingly.
Apparel Sales: We will have PAVC, Mizuno, and Tournament Apparel available in the upper area of the tournament location. The Tournament Apparel will not arrive until later on Sunday morning.
Refund Policy
Teams not accepted into the Take the Lake Tournament will receive a full refund.
Once Accepted - 100% refund until May 3rd.
50% refund until May 11th.
After May 14th, no refunds will be given.
In the 13/14U Division on Saturday, the 3 team pools will play in a crossover bracket. Only the team placing in 2nd following the first round of pool play will have to shift to the other facility. All games in the 13/14U Division will be best 2 out of 3, with the 3rd deciding match being played to 15. There will be a cap at 30 during the first day, but no cap on the second.
In the 15/16U Division on Saturday, all 4 team pools will play best 2 out of 3, with the 3rd deciding match being played to 15. The 3 team pool will play 3 sets to 25 no matter the results of the first 2 sets. There will be a cap at 30 during the first day, but no cap on the second.
