Coach Ali began playing volleyball in middle school at Brawley Middle, then continued at Lake Norman High School, and playing in a few clubs, including for our club director, Cara, her junior year of high school. student-athletes to be successful on the court and in life.

Head Coach - 13 Jade
Coach Jenna developed her passion for the sport of Volleyball in a small town in Wisconsin.  Playing school seasons from sixth through twelfth grades, she crafted her skills in the setter position and developed a pretty mean serve!  While earning a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from UW-Whitewater, she expanded her volleyball interests on the recreational side to playing sand volleyball in the summers and court in the winters.  After college and moving to North Carolina, she continued to play in both forms until a knee injury sidelined her for a few years. In the Spring of 2018 she attended her first FIVB tournament, reigniting her passion for the sport and leading her to PAVC to be a Coach.  She's looking forward to helping young athletes develop their skills and passion to grow the game.

Coach Jenna's favorite quote:
"Volleyball at its core is all about giving your teammate(s) the best opportunity to create a great play.  A good pass makes the setter's job easier and gives her more options to provide the hitter a great attack. It's not just about the fundamentals though; the hardest skill is seeing the bigger picture, what's all happening in the game and with your team to make the most out of what you're given. That to me is what defines good players from great players and teaches the life lessons that can be found through playing sports."

Coach “Sensei” David grew up in Southern California and fell in love with volleyball in 7th Grade and has played ever since. He was asked to help the Girls HS Team while a Junior and quickly gained a passion for the coaching side of the game. His “other hobby” became playing outdoors, mostly at a local beach! He played a year at a local Community College, then was hired as the Girls Varsity coach at his High School three years later. While in CA, he helped start a Club program and coached both Girls and Boys HS Teams for over 12 years. He also contracted as a shooter and editor for a Recruiting Services company for 15 years. Upon moving to Lake Norman in 2003, he served as Lead Advisor for the LKN VB Club for two years, where he met David Kounlamith. The two kept in touch over the years, and it was a dream come true to partner with PAVC! Sensei’s goal is to encourage every player he comes in contact with.
